My Story

Understanding the person behind the symptoms

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience helping adults, teens, and couples navigate emotional challenges, strengthen relationships, better understand themselves, and create meaningful change.

My approach begins with understanding the person behind the symptoms. I believe therapy is not only about reducing distress, but also about understanding each person's experiences, relationships, and patterns that influence how they see themselves, connect with others, and respond to life's challenges. Along with developing deeper self-understanding, I help clients build practical skills to regulate emotions, manage difficulties, and create healthier ways of coping.

My Approach

Therapy tailored to you, not just your symptoms.

Every person comes to therapy with a unique history, relationships, strengths, and life experiences. Rather than relying on a single therapeutic model, I tailor treatment to your individual needs, goals, and personality. Together, we’ll work to understand not only what is causing your current struggles, but also the deeper patterns that may be keeping them in place.

My clinical foundation is rooted in psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment theory, and mentalization-based approaches. These frameworks help us understand how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns continue to influence the way you feel, think, and relate to others today. Increasing this understanding can create meaningful, lasting change, not just temporary symptom relief.

As a bilingual psychologist with nearly 15 years of clinical experience and training across Mexico, Spain, London, and the United States, I bring an integrative and multicultural perspective to my work. Working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds has taught me that effective therapy is never one-size-fits-all. Treatment should always be adapted to each person’s values, goals, culture, and life circumstances.

At the same time, insight alone is not always enough. When appropriate, I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and attachment-based interventions, to help you regulate emotions, process trauma, strengthen relationships, and develop practical skills for everyday life.

My goal is not only to help you feel better in the moment, but to help you understand yourself more deeply, build healthier relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change that continues long after therapy ends.
