Therapy is a collaborative process. The first sessions focus on understanding your history, current concerns, and goals. From there, we work at a pace that feels right for you, combining deeper understanding with practical tools you can use in daily life.
It varies from person to person. Some people come with a specific concern and benefit from shorter-term work; others find longer-term therapy valuable for deeper change. We'll review progress together regularly.
Yes — secure online therapy is available anywhere in California, alongside in-person sessions in Los Angeles and Irvine.
Yes. As a bilingual and bicultural psychologist, Dr. Gutierrez provides therapy in both English and Spanish.
You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If something is affecting your relationships, work, or well-being — or you simply feel stuck — a free consultation is an easy, no-pressure way to explore whether therapy could help.
Individual sessions are $225 and couples sessions are $275, each 50 minutes. The initial 15-minute consultation is always free.
Dr. Gutierrez is an out-of-network provider. Payment is due at the time of each session, and you will automatically receive a superbill each month. If you have a PPO policy, you can submit the superbill to your insurance company to request out-of-network reimbursement.
A limited number of reduced, need-based sliding scale spots are available. If cost is a barrier, mention it during your free consultation and we can talk through the options.
